
Garrus sat on the either side of them, his gaze drifting away from the person he had once loved–once held do tightly right at the calm before the storm. He had told himself they’d be together for as long as life allowed him, but so suddenly his love, his desire for this other being was being questioned, and why?
He swallowed, his throat tight and mouth dry, struggling to speak as he reached up and pinched the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes shut. The dull ache behind his face seemed to relax under the pressure he performed, sighing loudly.
